Why is Johnny Depp so special to us? Well good question. My answer for that is simply, him. He has a great attitude, sense of humor, and terrific acting skills. He has inspired me to do many things, including starting this here blog. I've also written a few books dedicated to him. He has inspired me to do many things--but I steer clear of the drugs and alcohol. I know he had a rough sounding childhood, he did everything there possibly was, drug wise. That is one thing I don't do, but I don't think he's a bad person from it. Yeah it's surprising, and a bit depressing but he has changed over the years.
He has inspired me to write. He gives me ideas for my books, I have at least one thing Johnny Depp related in my books and stories. I try. He has inspired me to act as well. I have many dreams and they are quite big. I would like to meet and act with him one day. To me Johnny Depp is my hero. How can a man such as Johnny be a hero to someone like me? Well he's inspired me so much and I love him for that. I thought of him to be my hero. I mean he keeps me stable--but not so sane. He is my anti-drug. He is my heart and soul. I have a bit of him in me--as it were. I want to do everything I can to make my dreams come true. He is the reason for my self-confidence in my writing.
When it comes to my writing I am devoted. My writing is my life. Every bit of confidence goes into my writing. Now I don't have much self-confidence any other time, when I'm not writing. And I should--everyone should! My advice is to never give up on your dreams. Try your hardest. If you give up you will never fulfill your dreams. If you keep trying you will. You can do anything you want as long as you set your mind to it. Block all negative thoughts and comments. Be positive at all times. When times get rough, just keep on going.
There was something I read somewhere and it was something J0hnny said. He said something like, never give up and such. I wish I could find it. It was good advice.
~ COLONEL DEPP
MY Anti-Drug
By: Colonel Depp
Is there anything that we could do without Johnny Depp? I doubt that. I couldn’t live without at least one thing Johnny. Johnny Depp has changed my life completely. I mean now I can walk into a store with that urge to look for something. I go into stores now and go directly to the posters or to the Electronics and see what movies they have in stock. It’s a habit and I don’t know what I would do without Johnny. I wouldn’t be who I am today.
Johnny Depp is my anti-drug. He keeps me drug free. He keeps me “stable” but not “sane”. I go nuts when I see a picture that I haven’t seen or when I find a poster I want. I shriek and freak my mom out. I have to control that, so I say ‘Oh My Gosh!’ instead.
X Corpse Bride X
Victor (Johnny Depp) is going home with a friend to marry his fiancée Victoria (Emily Watson). They both stop in the woods for a rest. Then as a joke, Victor puts his wedding ring on a finger-shaped stick and recites his wedding vows. The finger-shaped stick turns out to be a rotted finger belonging to a murdered girl (Helena Bonham-Carter), who returns as a zombie and insists that she is now Victors lawfully wedded wife.
Victor who is freaked out about this whole experience tries to fix his problems. He is determined to marry the love of his life.
This film would be very interesting to watch being made.
I would have loved to see Johnny do the voices of his character Victor. To see him wave his arms about, standing there yelling as if he’s about to fall down, and pretending to run into a tree, as seen in the commercials. What a site that would be. I would be laughing my butt off at that experience.
I especially think that it will be a great film. When you get Johnny Depp and Tim Burton together like that, you know the film will be good.

It is said that Once Upon a Time in Mexico is possibly going to be converted to PSP. Robert Rodriguez would like to make a game for PSP using the movie Once Upon a Time in Mexico. "That would be cool, a Once Upon a Time in Mexico video game for the PSP - The Man with No Eyes. He would be a blind gunfighter."
From the following site: http://www.cinematical.com/2005/08/18/once-upon-a-time-in-mexico-for-psp/
My thought on this is that it would be awesome to have Once Upon a Time in Mexico as a video game. Then all I’d have to do is buy Charlie and the Chocolate Factory game for PS2 and Pirates of the Caribbean for PS2, and just have to get a PSP to play the Once Upon a Time in Mexico game.
This weekend on August 20th, Johnny Depp will shoot Hunter S.Thompson’s ashes out of a cannon. Johnny Depp is paying for this funeral for the late writer which will be held at Thompson’s former home in Woody Creek, Colorado. But Johnny’s main duty is to launch the remains of the gonzo writer out of the cannon.

Anyone who's anyone is headed to Aspen this weekend for a final farewell to Hunter S. Thompson -- whether or not they have an invitation to rub elbows and ashes with Johnny Depp at the official blow-him-up-real-good festivities on August 20.
Rick McKinney is walking the 900 miles from his home town of Idyllwild, California, to Woody Creek in hopes of a sneak peek at the private memorial service. McKinney's not your average voyeur, though. "I'm walking toward Hunter's funeral to raise awareness of depression and the high rate of suicide in the United States," he explains from a pay phone in "the middle of the forest" forty miles south of Grand Lake.
And this isn't just one man's lonely crusade. Somehow, the former journalist (who suffers from depression) convinced Backpacker magazine and Merrell shoes, among others, to sponsor his pilgrimage. To get ready, he spent a month in Leadville training at high altitude -- and he also left a car there so that he could drive, rather than walk, back home when the deed is done. But McKinney sprained his ankle last week, and now that he's only covering about ten miles a day, he's worried he might not make it to Aspen on time. As read on http://www.westword.com/Issues/2005-08-18/news/offlimits.html
Hunter S. Thompson's widow is holding a massive star-studded party instead of a wake for the writer's funeral this Saturday - to honor his final wish.
The lavish bash, which will be attended by 250 guests including actors Sean Penn and Johnny Depp, will include readings from Thompson's work and live musical performances. The unusual ceremony will also see the cremated remains of the Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas author, who was a huge fan of explosives, being shot into the air over his Woody Creek, Colorado, home.
Hollywood star Depp - who portrayed Thompson in the 1998 movie version of the bestseller - is financing the send off, and has been busy constructing a special cannon so he can blast his late pal Hunter S. Thompson's ashes into the sky.
According to The New York Post, the memorial platform/cannon will be unveiled on Sunday and has been modeled on Thompson's Gonzo logo: a clenched fist, made symmetrical with the addition of a second thumb, perched above a dagger.
Thompson's widow Anita insists the upbeat celebration is perfect for the unconventional star.
She says "No crying, no tears, only celebration. He wanted people to celebrate.
"He envisioned it to be a beautiful party. The most amazing people would be there.
"His friends would celebrate his life. And he was even specific that there would be clinking of ice and whisky."

It is said that Johnny may appear in Sin City’s sequel.
Movie Quotes:
Jack after waking Mr. Gibbs
Jack: Ah, fortunately I know how to counter it. The man who did the waking buys, the man who was sleeping, a drink. The man who was sleeping drinks it while listening to a proposition from the man who did the waking.

Johnny Depp
A report written by: Gonzo Journalist (Colonel Deppster)
This report is about the wonderful man himself and how it came to be that I chose him as my favorite actor.
Walking through Blockbuster for me is like going on a scavenger hunt. You don’t know what you will find until you find it. You have to look really hard and know what you are looking for if you ever want to walk out with a great movie.
One day my mom, my younger brother and I went to Blockbuster. Just wondering what was in and if there was anything good. I spotted a movie sitting on a shelf for sale, Pirates of the Caribbean: Cures of the Black Pearl, the title read. Sounded like a great movie if you ask me. My mom decided, what the heck, and bought it.
I was anxious and excited; I really wanted to watch the movie. I was staring at the DVD box the whole way home. I realized there was a man named, Johnny Depp in the movie. At the time I wasn’t too familiar with him.
When we had gotten home we decided to watch it. My brother had gone outside, and my dad was still at work. So it was just me and my mom, sitting on the couch with just the light of the TV and we popped the movie in the DVD player.
There was a part where I was a bit nervous watching it with my mom, the part where Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann were below deck, I thought it was going to be this mushy scene, and honestly I don’t like watching those scenes with my mom that much, I get uncomfortable. As I was shifting in my seat waiting for that part to be over I was first and foremost relieved that the scene didn’t turn out mushy. I sat there quietly the rest of the movie, chuckling at Johnny Depp’s facial expressions. When the movie ended, my mom and I both agreed that it was a remarkable movie.
Directly after the movie had ended, I got on my mom’s computer and looked this Johnny Depp guy up. I found out some very interesting things. I remember looking at his filmography and saw What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? I thought, I remember watching that a long time ago, but didn’t remember Johnny being in it. I only remembered Leonardo DiCaprio being in it, because he was apart of the Growing Pains cast at the time, and watching Titanic was a habit as well.
Then I looked up Orlando Bloom and found out that he and I have the same birthday. January 13th, wow, I had thought, and I still think this very day, I share a birthday with a very hot guy!
I think that after watching Pirates of the Caribbean started my obsession over Johnny Depp. I mean it lead to me reading about him, quoting what he says in Pirates of the Caribbean because I ended up watching it so much, and buying what ever there was with Johnny’s face on it. Yep, I diagnosed myself with Johnny Depp Compulsive Disorder, ah and it’s actually great sometimes.
The other day I was on imbd.com and found out some interesting facts. I found out that Johnny’s nicknames are Mr. Stench, (self chosen) and Colonel (given by Hunter S. Thompson).
Johnny had gotten his “Betty Sue” tattoo May 31st, 1988, Johnny was 25.
I found out that “The Fast Show” later named “Brilliant” a British television show is Johnny’s favorite TV show. Along with “Whose Line is it anyway?” I found that out on freewebs.com. When I read that, I thought, man, “Whose Line” is my mom’s and also my favorite show as well.
Johnny made a guest appearance in Brilliant’s last-ever sketch in its last-ever episode.
In 1999 he Co-Owned a restaurant/club in Paris, called Man Ray with Sean Penn and John Malkovich. I’m not sure if he still does. It is a possibility. The restaurant is located in a renovated theatre and serves Tibetan cuisine.
I also found out a lot of interesting facts about Johnny as a child that I thought was very interesting.
As a child Johnny was allergic to chocolate.
One day Johnny was waiting for his dad to pick him up from school, and a guy drove buy him, rolled down his window, and said, “God, what an ugly kid!” When I read that I thought, how dare that man ever call Johnny ugly! I was watching E! True Hollywood’s Story, and it showed a picture of Johnny when he was in 7th grade. He was adorable. I don’t see how anyone would call him ugly. That guy better feel sorry now.
I found out that Johnny has 8 scars on his left forearm, not sure what from. Could be Evil Knievel scars or he might have been a slicer. I haven’t a clue.
When Johnny was a kid he liked to do everything twice. When his mom turned his bedroom light off, he would jump up and turn it off and on over and over.
He has a scar on his right cheek from blowing fire out of the side of his mouth. It read on the web site, the side of his smile, but that didn’t make any sense.
He was trying to copy Gene Simmons (of KISS) fire breathing trick but it went wrong. He told his mother it was a firework. A man saw his face alight and rushed him to the hospital. That man saved his life. Gene mentioned that a kid tried to copy his act and got burned. He mentioned having 11 years experience and said there was no need to copy him. He even got burnt a few times at shows and the roadies had to throw water on him. I guess that kid was Johnny eh? This information was given by the wonderful Ali.
He wears a size 12. He believes in ghosts. He was sleeping in a London hotel that used to be a hospital. He was just lying in bed and saw a ghost of an evil surgeon’s face. He says it suddenly came right at his face. It really scared him. It would scare me too. And after that I would definitely believe.
I read that Johnny had bought a painting from the serial killer John Wayne Gacy of a clown, and since his execution, he has developed a pathological fear of clowns and got rid of it. I hate clowns as well. I remember this painting my grandmother had of a sad clown. Some of you may be familiar with it. I would cry every time I saw it. She ended up putting it in the shed. I also remember seeing it in an ice cream parlor when I lived in Florida. I never sat where it hung, ever! Then I moved to a small town in Ohio. I went to the local theatre and there was that same picture. I am absolutely terrified of that painting. I hate clowns. I share that phobia with Johnny and I don’t blame him for hating them either.
I also had a bad experience with spiders recently. My room is in the basement, and I was putting my shirt on one day. I went upstairs to do my hair and I felt something on my arm, I thought it was a hair so I flicked it off. I ended up flicking of a spider that was the size of a quarter. From that day forward I check my shirts inside and out. I also put my shirts upstairs in the office closet.
I read that Johnny laughs at people when they choke, because one day he was choking on a piece of meat and at first he was scared, but shortly after he thought it was funny and started laughing.
I found out that a few things freak him out, for one racism freaks him out. And he had gotten a tarantula for his birthday one year and he would try to touch it and he’d scream. I would have loved to have seen that! Maybe I should give him one for another birthday of his so I can see him scream?
I read something about Johnny when he was younger, that I used to do. When he was 7, he used to catch chameleons, or lizards, and train them. He would put them on his finger and flick them. He trained them to fly? I’m not sure. I used to catch these cute little lizards that were all over the place if you looked, when I lived in Florida. I would catch them and put them in a jug and those little boogers where hard to catch, but once they were in the jug I would shake them up. I’m mean I know, but they survived. They were a little brain damaged. But they survived!
I also read something that reminded me of Ed Wood, if you have ever seen it. If you never seen it, it was about a director that used to dress in women’s clothing. Mainly angora sweaters and skirts, Johnny wore heals and a wig as well. It is a very hilarious movie. It is weird, but it is a must see.
But I read that when Johnny was younger, he used to wear his mothers clothes. AH HA! I knew it! I also read that he respects transvestites. Oh my! Maybe he is one his self. I can see it now, during the day he’s a dashing original Johnny Depp, with a temper, but by night, he dresses in a mini skirt and a tube top, puts on heals and a wig and goes dancing. I really hope not, but if so it wouldn’t surprise me. All of his cross dressing characters may have rubbed off on him, or those characters sparked his interest when he used to wear his mother’s clothes. Johnny, Johnny, Johnny, when will you ever learn? Oh well right? We still love him. Even if he likes to wear women’s clothing, he looks gosh darn good in them too!
Even if Johnny does wear women’s clothing, he is still a sweet guy at heart. I read that in a visit arranged by the Make-A-Wish Foundation he brought a terminally ill 11 year old to the set of Ed Wood, and hovered over her the entire day.
During the making of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape? He gave a homeless woman a lift and all the money he had in his pocket at the time. That man is so generous. I don’t think he’d have a problem with meeting one of us one day. I mean even if it’s just an autograph. I read that Johnny is the number one celebrity that will give his fans an autograph, any time any where. That is great I think!
Over all of Johnny’s shocking and surprising moments, we all still love him all the same. He is a great guy deep down, and he has his quirky and crazy moments, but that’s why I love him. His personality, his sense of humor, his facial expressions, his luscious voice and his dazzling looks. We all love him for different reasons. Some of us love him for his looks and talent. Others just love him for his looks. But no matter what you love him for, Johnny Depp is the most loveable actor around.
